In a meeting held during the morning of this Thursday, the Association of Businessmen of Leisure, Active Tourism and Rural Tourism, integrated into the Lanzarote Tourism Federation (FTL), has elected Juan de León Luzardo, representing Finca las Laderas (Rural Tourism), as the new president of the entity.
De León will be accompanied during his term by Vicente Hidalgo Caixal, representing the company Lanzarote a Caballo, who will act as vice president. Federico Romero Toledo representing Líneas Marítimas Romero, José María Barreto representing the El Patio Agricultural Museum, and Martín Pérez representing Aloe Plus Lanzarote, will be members of the renewed Board of Directors, while the secretariat of the organization will be assumed by a technician from the Federation.
The lines of work defined by the new management are aimed at "highlighting all the leisure and active tourism offer integrated into the association, as well as continuing to defend and protect the interests of the companies that comprise it".
Digital transformation of companies
According to its president, Juan de León, a priority axis is to work on the digitization and digital transformation of the companies that make up the association, paying special attention to promotion through the different platforms and channels, as well as the commercialization of their tourism products.
"We have begun to design, through different media, a strategy for the promotion and dissemination of the entire complementary and cultural leisure offer of the island of Lanzarote that we will present in the short to medium term," he advanced.
Likewise, he also highlighted the importance of business union and the need to create new synergies between all the sectors that comprise it, and invited all companies in the leisure, active tourism and rural tourism sector to join the association's project, led by the new board of directors.
