Iberia Express increases its operations with Lanzarote by more than twenty flights this Christmas

Between December 19 and January 8, the archipelago as a whole will have 126 additional flights over what was scheduled.

Iberia Express reinforces its operations with Lanzarote this Christmas with 3,400 extra seats, which is equivalent to an additional capacity of 13%. In number of frequencies there are 22 more flights

Between December 19 and January 8, the airline will add 126 additional flights on its routes between Madrid and the archipelago, with nearly 23,000 more seats compared to its base schedule, bringing the total offer to more than 231,000 seats and representing
an increase of 11% for the Canary Islands as a whole.

“The Canary Islands are a key destination for us and that is why we want to guarantee connectivity, especially at Christmas, offering more options for schedules and flights to facilitate their travel,” said Isabel Rodríguez, Commercial Director of Iberia Express.

The largest expansion will occur in Tenerife South with nearly 4,300 additional seats - 26% more than initially scheduled.

For La Palma it will offer almost 2,400 additional seats, which is equivalent to 20% more, while in the case of Fuerteventura it has scheduled 3,300 more seats, that is, 18% more. 

In Gran Canaria and Tenerife North, the airline has also scheduled seat increases of 8% and 5% respectively. 

In total, the company will operate 126 additional flights between Madrid and the archipelago: 38 additional flights with Tenerife (14 with Tenerife North and 24 with Tenerife South), 36 flights with Gran Canaria, 22 with Lanzarote, 18 with Fuerteventura and 12 with La Palma.

In fact, the Canary Islands archipelago concentrates more than 85% of the additional flights scheduled by Iberia Express for these dates, and during these 21 days it adds a total of 1,158 flights between Madrid and the islands.
