The Czech low-cost airline Smartwings has doubled the connectivity between Prague and Lanzarote for the summer.
Instead of one weekly flight, as there was during last summer and which continues today, this summer there will be two flights a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. Thus, the weekly capacity goes from 169 seats per week to a total of 338.
Smartwings began operations in 2008 and is headquartered at Ruzyně International Airport in the Czech capital. As secondary airports, it uses those of the Czech cities of Brno, Ostrava and that of the Slovak capital, Milan Rastislav Štefánik.
The airline has 42 aircraft flying to 27 different destinations. Among them, in addition to Lanzarote, are Fuerteventura, La Palma, Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
In addition, the Czech company connects Prague with several cities on the peninsula such as Alicante, Almería, Barcelona, Madrid, Málaga and Valencia. It also has connections with Mallorca and Menorca.
