Club La Santa has reopened its doors this Tuesday, after remaining closed for 13 months due to the pandemic. In a statement, the property highlights that during this time "the center has not stopped and has undertaken various reforms in its facilities, including the renovation of the athletics track." In addition, a new paddle tennis court has been built (the sixth one in the complex), the CrossFit area has been remodeled and expanded, and one of the tennis courts has been equipped with a SMASH-BACK wall to train simulating a real opponent, "along with many other actions in the facilities, apartments and suites or the leisure pool."
The return of activity to its facilities also means that the center resumes its calendar of competitions and sporting events. Club La Santa has already announced that it will organize the Military Long Distance Triathlon World Championship together with the Higher Council of Military Sports and the FETRI on July 3, coinciding with the XXIX edition of the Club La Santa IRONMAN Lanzarote.
But the sporting events will return sooner, with the celebration of the 4 Stage MTB Race Lanzarote 2021, a four-stage event included in the UCI international calendar and which will begin on May 29. "These are just three of the major milestones in a sporting calendar whose dates and most important events will be announced soon," they say.
“We are happy to reopen our doors to our clients and friends. In more than 25 years of Club La Santa's life we had never closed, but without a doubt the pandemic has demanded special measures. We are reopening with all possible guarantees in terms of security, renovated facilities and with the greatest enthusiasm", said Solveig Olsen, hotel manager of Club La Santa for more than two decades.
