The former president of Felapyme, Alfredo Villalba, will be in charge of the Association for Rural and Fisheries Development of Lanzarote (Aderlan) from next Monday. Through a statement, the association has reported on the electoral period in which it has been immersed, which has come to an end with the presentation of a single candidacy.

Alfredo Villalba replaces Valentín Elvira in the position, who in turn is the current president of Felapyme. Elvira precisely replaced Villalba in the Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises when he resigned from the position.

According to Aderlan, "once the only candidacy presented is declared elected, next Monday, August 13, an Extraordinary General Assembly has been called", which will be held at 7:00 p.m. to "proclaim the result of the electoral process and proceed to the inauguration".

As for the rest of the new Board of Directors, the vice-presidency will be in the hands of councilor Francisco Fabelo, representing the Cabildo of Lanzarote. In addition, the treasurer will be Ramón Francisco Ventura, for the Association of Friends of Wine and Cheese; the secretary will be Juan Cazorla, for the Milana Cultural, Social, Heritage and Agricultural Association; and the vice-secretary will be in the hands of José Miguel Morales, representing the Tinajo City Council.

In addition, there will be five members: José Domingo Morera, representing the Teguise City Council; Onelia Nóbregas, for the "Tazzay" Youth and Cultural Association; Bienvenido Saavedra, representing Asolan; José Domingo Rodríguez, for the Insular Association of Producers of Quality Livestock Farms; Tomás Vicente Martín, for the Fishermen's Association of Playa Blanca, and Leandro Caraballo Umpiérrez, in an individual capacity.
