The future of the mobile app business

We are talking then about the fact that the field of mobile applications has an intense penetration in the daily lives of people of all ages and the implications of this phenomenon are visible in all aspects of our day to day.

You only have to observe the amount of things we are able to do from our mobile device to realize that the business of the future is in the development of mobile applications that serve to solve a problem or entertain us in some way, whether with games, multimedia content or social networks and instant messaging applications.

Online games: a profitable business model

The mobile application market has been growing at a constant rate for years, leading some sectors such as video games. The ease of playing from our mobile device is one of the things that many people appreciate and that has boosted the growth of applications for casino games and video games was able to generate 41 billion dollars during the year 2016 and greater profits are forecast in the coming years, which makes this business model something really profitable.

People aged 25 to 34 use their mobile devices daily for an average of 1.4 hours a day consuming multimedia content. Applications for entertainment are the ones that occupy the first places of downloads within the official stores of the iOS and Android platforms, especially those about games. With this panorama it is not very difficult to realize why many casino operators have launched their mobile Apps seeking to offer a gaming experience similar to the one they already offer in the desktop versions.

Addiction to the cell phone

This is an almost unquestionable fact. When we wake up we almost always do it using the alarms that we set on our devices and generally the next thing we do is check the inbox of instant messaging applications. According to a report prepared by Ditrendia, we check our mobile device about 150 times a day, which implies that we dedicate at least 177 minutes of the day only to check notifications, hence it is often considered that we are addicted to the phone and that we feel anxiety when we do not check notifications.

Many new companies have focused their efforts on the development of mobile applications, since this is a much more economical business model than establishing a physical business, identifying the trends and needs of the market in order to try to satisfy as many users as possible with the solutions they develop. The future of mobile applications lies in providing solutions to the common problems of users.
