On December 12, the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa will close the eleventh edition of its Mentoring Program for Business Consolidation, which in the last decade has helped more than 145 entrepreneurs to strengthen their businesses, with a survival rate of over 90%.
The event, which will take place at the Chamber's facilities, will feature companies from previous editions and a networking event to promote the creation of the Consolídate Community. A real success story
During the day, the testimony of a project that, after winning the Lanzarotemprende 2015 Award, has managed to expand beyond Lanzarote will be presented. This example demonstrates the impact that the program has on business development and how the Chamber's support through the different phases of entrepreneurship can help a business up to the moment of its internationalization.
The meeting, which is part of the actions aimed at promoting the entrepreneurial ecosystem, also includes a round table in which former participants of the different editions of Consolídate will participate, as well as a Networking dynamic, led by the program tutors, and the presentation of diplomas to the thirteen participants of the current edition.
The program
The Mentoring Program for Business Consolidation aims to increase the survival of companies. To this end, it offers group awareness sessions in an initial phase and an extensive training program in a deeper phase with individualized mentoring sessions with each project.
This combination of training and personalized advice allows entrepreneurs to optimize their resources and consolidate their businesses.
Participation is free for companies, as the Mentoring Program developed by the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa is co-financed by the General Directorate of Economic Promotion and Diversification of the Government of the Canary Islands and the FEDER Canary Islands Program 2021-2027.
Creation of the Consolídate Community
More than 145 entrepreneurs have already gone through this program in its eleven editions, with an approximate survival rate of 90% of businesses. Among the most outstanding sectors, in terms of participation, it is worth mentioning consulting services, services related to the health field, commerce and crafts or projects that have to do with art, social issues, the environment, gastronomy and food.
Consulting to increase the survival of companies
The first years of creating a company are especially sensitive, since only 3 out of 10 companies manage to overcome the first five years. Therefore, this type of individual mentoring is of vital importance to increase the survival of the Canarian business fabric. And this is also why they are aimed at newly created companies, which are less than three years old since their constitution.
The Mentoring Program for Business Consolidation is possible thanks to the General Directorate of Economic Promotion and Diversification of the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands and the co-financing of the FEDER Program 2021-2027.
