Pescadería Titerroy celebrates its second anniversary. It opened its doors on July 4th
2012, and in these years it has imprinted the seal of quality and good price on the fish it sells in the neighborhood.
The secret lies in the tradition and in the fact that several artisan boats supply the counters with fresh and varied fish every week. "That is the key to a business like ours. The people of Lanzarote are demanding customers, who know about fish, and that forces you to be a better professional," says Esteban Martín Feo, the founder of the business. "In this fish shop we only buy what we would put on our tables for our families to eat," he defends.
To get to that point, the key is also to know the business and the tradition. And Martín Feo has grown up, like many other people from Lanzarote, among fish. His family, linked to the world of the sea, made him know from a young age the value of the fruit of our waters. "Since I was a child I saw how fish was treated, and the richness of the waters of Lanzarote. Now, my business tries to do the same: bring that delicacy, healthy and tasty, to the palate of the locals," he indicates.
In addition, he has been in the food business for almost two decades and one in the fishmonger business. Two years ago, he decided to take the leap as an entrepreneur by setting up the business on his own. "It's hard in times of crisis, but I also still believe that when a person enters our establishment they clearly see the difference. The most beautiful thing is to see that your customers repeat and recommend to other friends or family that your product is good," he says.
Pescadería Titerroy has already made a name for itself based on hard work and humility. Many of the most famous and prestigious restaurants on the island acquire their fish through the distribution channels of this fish shop.
