Loomis acquired the cash transportation and management division of Seguridad Integral Canaria, which was facing serious economic difficulties that complicated the demanding task of transporting cash and other valuables that require very high security, reliability and solvency. In the summer of 2019, the acquisition was closed with the aim of establishing itself in the Canary Islands.

To meet this challenge, Loomis has invested more than 6 million euros and has subrogated some 140 workers, establishing offices in Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Tenerife and La Palma.

Since its arrival in the Canary Islands, Loomis has made a strong investment with the aim of developing its activity in the Canarian market with the same quality and guarantees as in the rest of the national territory, both for its clients and its workers. Among other things, it acquired a fleet of more than ten vehicles, including armored and light vehicles, as well as machinery for the cash management and transportation department. The workers received tools to be able to carry out their work with the greatest guarantees for the clients of Lanzarote and the rest of the archipelago.
