One of the most interesting proposals to enjoy these different holidays is to rediscover Lanzarote with an incredibly beautiful experience.

The Tourist Centers propose a walk around the Famara cliff with end at the Mirador del Río. It is a simple walk through some of the most beautiful spots on the island, looking towards the Chinijo archipelago and the immensity of the Atlantic.

Arriving at the Mirador del Río we can walk along the panoramic road from which we will see beautiful images, being able to reach the Mirador de Guisante. For those who want to see the end of the island, there is also the possibility of taking a walk along dirt paths to Punta Fariones where we will see the end of Lanzarote as if it were the bow of a boat.

The Mirador del Río in data

The building is located in the remains of an old military battery dating back to the late nineteenth century, integrated into the cliff with the mastery that only Manrique could conceive.

The Mirador dominates El Río, the narrow strip of sea that separates Lanzarote from La Graciosa.

The interior surprises with its impressive glass windows, the eyes of the Mirador, increase the effect of panoramic vision, and the monumental and original sculptures that hang from the ceiling defy gravity.

At the base of the cliff that shelters it, the reddish colors of the Salinas del Río, also called Guza, the oldest in the Canary archipelago, stand out.

The execution of the Mirador had the collaboration of the architect Eduardo Cáceres and the artist Jesús Soto.
