Cefyca is the winning company of the eleventh edition of the Lanzarotemprende Award. The only award on the island that highlights newly created business projects, with a maximum age of five years.
The award is part of the “Business Tutoring Program, Consolidate”, financed by the General Directorate of Economic Promotion of the Government of the Canary Islands, through ERDF Funds.
For several months, participants receive intense individual consulting advice in different areas of business management. As a result of this work, strategy reports are prepared in the mentoring process, which include the strengths and weaknesses of each project, as well as an action plan that will help them in the process of consolidating their companies.
Award for the entrepreneurial project of Lanzarote and La Graciosa 2022
Lanzarotemprende aims to highlight the best business initiative. The one that gathers greater expectations of growth, better viability and more development and innovation.
- The winner of this eleventh edition has been Cefyca, a training and health consulting center that works in the field of molecular biology, applying innovation and research to the agricultural, livestock, environmental and clinical sectors. This project combines innovation with research and technology and brings great value to the society of Lanzarote. Yanaixet González, founder of Cefyca, has collected her check for 1,200 euros in cash, a prize awarded by the Government of the Canary Islands, and an advertising plan valued at 3,000 euros.
- The second prize went to Iranti Candles, by Lorena Newman. A brand of handmade candles made with soy wax, essential oils and magical elements of nature that already has more than 11 points of sale in the Canary Islands. Iranti is one of those examples of perfect follow-up of the entrepreneurial itinerary offered by the Chamber. This initiative has been awarded a cash prize of 700 euros, awarded by the Directorate of Economic Promotion of the Government of the Canary Islands and an advertising plan valued at 1,500 euros, the result of the collaboration of the Lancelot Medios Group, which collaborates with this award selflessly.
- The third prize went to Pitaya Coliving, by Laura Sanz. A novel bet on the island that tries to generate a community among people who come to the island to telework. Pitaya offers something more than accommodation for remote workers, it aspires to be an inspiring space for the exchange of experiences and experiences. This project receives a cash prize of 300 euros and will have a promotion and advertising plan, valued at 1,200 euros, as a contribution from the Lancelot Medios Group.

The companies participating in Consolidate 2022, in addition to the three winners, have been: Online procedures, Hygge, Captuneando Lanzarote, Tertulia y Arte, Alejandra del Castillo Nutricionista, María Bermúdez Seguros, Doblesse Canarias, La pizarra de Nerea, Duonion, I love my Latin store.
More than one hundred companies have participated since 2011
With this edition, there are already 120 projects that have participated since 2011 in “Consolidate”. The mentoring and individual advice program that aims to guarantee the survival of the participating companies beyond the first years. And it is that eight out of ten companies end up closing in this first stage.
Between 2011 and 2022 several companies have obtained the recognition of best entrepreneur Lanzarotemprende: Control Avi, Peluquería Naranja and Pitiminí, in the first year that three prizes were awarded, and: Localseo, Fórmula Creativa, Oswaldo Machín, Queso Project, Extreme Center, Calma Campus, Jellyfish, Studio Danza Emocional, Bombonería la Corona and this year Cefyca.
The “Consolidate” Business Tutoring program is possible thanks to the General Directorate of Economic Promotion of the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands and the co-financing of the ERDF Canary Islands 2014-2020 operational program.
