The Prosecutor's Office of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) has issued a favorable report on the request for a 'curfew' or limitation of mobility due to the coronavirus for the islands in levels 3 and 4 between 00.30 and 06.00 hours to avoid crowds.

This favorable report was issued late on Monday, July 12, as confirmed to Europa Press by sources from the Prosecutor's Office, after the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the TSJC, at its headquarters in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, initiated the corresponding procedure on the same day following the request from the Government of the Canary Islands and forwarded it to the Public Prosecutor's Office to issue the report.

Thus, from 09.00 hours on July 12, the three-day period began for the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the TSJC to respond to the request from the regional Executive.

Thus, if the TSJC refuses to approve the requested measures, the Government of the Canary Islands may appeal to the Supreme Court, which has five days to resolve.
