The Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, has announced that the alert level against the coronavirus has been raised, moving from containment to "reinforced containment", which includes additional measures, such as the suspension of all classes from 0 years old up to university in the Community of Madrid, Vitoria and Labastida, as they are "areas with a high transmission rate".
This was announced by Illa at a press conference after the holding by videoconference of an Extraordinary Interterritorial Council of the National Health System (CISNS), in which health authorities from the Ministry and the autonomous communities addressed the relevance of new measures to tackle the coronavirus outbreak.
