The Governing Board of Arrecife has given the green light to the installation of a fifth gas station on a stretch of the León y Castillo street, in the capital's Altavista neighborhood, which will become the fifth pump installed within a straight kilometer.
According to municipal sources confirmed to La Voz, the proposal for the low-cost petrol station Petroprix, which still does not have any station on the island, was approved by urgent procedure in the last Governing Board of the capital of Lanzarote during last week.
This service station will be located on León y Castillo street, number 172, in the area known as Las Rapaduras. Close to Plenergy's first low-cost station in Arrecife, which opened in the capital in July 2024.
These same sources have pointed out that the authorization has been given relying on the favorable legal and urban planning reports.
The Petroprix brand has more than 200 service stations distributed throughout Spain and other gas stations in Portugal, Chile and Panama. This brand has eleven stations in Gran Canaria, with another in Tenerife and another in Fuerteventura, although it would be the first in Lanzarote.
