The price of fuel continues to climb in Lanzarote despite the ceasefire

Up to 27 cents difference per liter depending on the establishment: discover the most expensive and cheapest gas stations on the island this week

Despite the ceasefire of two weeks agreed between United States and Iran, the practical paralysis of vessel transit through the Strait of Hormuz to date continues to drive up prices in Lanzarote.

The year 2026 started with an average price for diesel in Lanzarote of 1,185 euros per liter, while gasoline cost on average 1,187 euros, according to figures from the Lanzarote Data Center.

Currently, there are already several establishments in Lanzarote where diesel exceeds 1.75 euros per liter and gasoline at 1.46 euros.

The gas station most expensive on the island to acquire diesel is the Repsol on Road LZ-2 that connects Arrecife with Playa Blanca, where it is sold at 1.755 euros per liter.

In contrast, the cheapest diesel on the island is sold at Plenenergy in Arrecife, where it costs 1.479 euros per liter. 

Regarding gasoline 95, the most expensive is found at the Disa at kilometer 2 of the Yaiza to Montañas del Fuego road where it is at 1.499 euros per liter. 

On the opposite end, the 95 gasoline most economical in Lanzarote can also be purchased at Plenenergy, where it is sold at 1,339 euros per liter. 

Regarding the 98 gasoline, the cheapest is at the PCAN of Tías (1,483 euros), while the most expensive is also the Disa towards Montañas de Fuego done it is sold at 1,599 euros.
