The Canary Islands remains without deaths for the second consecutive day, registers four positives and adds 21 discharges

In the islands, 1,426 patients have already overcome the disease.

The Canary Islands has remained this Wednesday without adding new deaths from coronavirus, with the figure remaining at 151 people since last Monday; and has registered four positives, up to an accumulated 2,275; in addition to 21 discharges, so 1,426 patients have already overcome the disease.

With data from the Ministry of Health closed at 8:00 p.m. this Wednesday, in the archipelago there are 628 active cases with Covid-19, of which 560 are in home isolation and the remaining 68 are admitted to the hospital --51 of them on the ward and 17 in the ICU--.

Also, of the total positives registered by the virus in the islands, which already affects some 77 Canarian municipalities, 1,243 are women and 1,032 are men.

By islands, the most affected by COVID-19 continues to be Tenerife, which has 1,532 declared cases. It is followed by Gran Canaria, with 558; La Palma, with 80; Lanzarote, with 84; Fuerteventura, with 23; La Gomera, with 7, and El Hierro, with 1.

As for deaths, Tenerife registers 106 deaths, followed by Gran Canaria (37), Lanzarote (6) and La Palma (3).

The rest of the islands continue without counting any deaths, while the most affected age group continues to be that of people over 80 years of age with 71 people who have lost their lives.
