The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has notified three new cases of monkeypox and three under study since last Thursday, including a suspected case in Lanzarote, still under study and without confirmation.
All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation receiving follow-up from Primary Care.
Thus, the confirmed and notified cases in the Canary Islands since the beginning of the alert and until today are as follows: 69 confirmed cases, 44 in Gran Canaria, 24 in Tenerife and one in Fuerteventura; two probable cases pending confirmation, one notified in Gran Canaria and another in Fuerteventura, and three suspected cases, two in Gran Canaria and one in Lanzarote.
