The Canary Islands adds seven new cases of monkeypox and reaches 78 diagnoses

The Ministry has added a new case in Fuerteventura and maintains one under study in Lanzarote

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands registers seven new cases and four under study for possible diagnosis of monkeypox since this Monday.

Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there are 78 confirmed cases, of which 51 were detected in Gran Canaria, 25 in Tenerife and two in Fuerteventura. All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation.

In addition, the Ministry of Health maintains a suspected case in Lanzarote, along with two others in Tenerife, and three probable in Gran Canaria.
