The Canary Islands adds 87 new cases of Covid and accumulates five days without deaths

The Canary Islands has 87 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday. The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 96,273 with 721 active, of which 22 are admitted to the ICU and 72 remain hospitalized. In the last hours there have been no deaths in the Archipelago due to the coronavirus, this being the fifth consecutive day.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 18.38 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 35.94 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 40 cases and 322 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 38 more than the previous day and 268 active cases. Lanzarote adds five new cases and 76 epidemiologically active cases; Fuerteventura has four new cases, and 52 active cases. La Palma adds one new case and has two active cases; El Hierro does not register new positives, so it has one active case. For its part, La Gomera does not add cases, so it remains without active cases.

Until Wednesday, a total of 2,210,832 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 5,011 correspond to Tuesday.
