The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has called the selective tests to fill, through the general system of free access, 75 places of Basic Scale of the General Corps of the Canary Police (CGPC).

Those who wish to participate in these selection tests must do so exclusively through the specific form of this procedure, which is available at the electronic headquarters of the Public Administration of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, within 20 working days from the day following the publication of the call in the BOC, which occurred this Tuesday.

Once the deadline for submitting applications has expired, the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies will issue another resolution that will include the list of admitted and excluded persons, with the cause of exclusion and the deadline for correcting defects.

Together with the call for selective tests, the resolution approves the specific bases that govern them, which are included in Annex I, and includes the program of topics to be required.

Applicants must meet, among other requirements, "have Spanish nationality, be of legal age and not exceed the age established for the transition to the situation of second activity with destination, as well as be in a position or in a position to obtain the title of Bachelor or Technician".

Likewise, they must lack a criminal record and a record of sexual offenses, not have been separated by disciplinary proceedings from the service of any of the public administrations and be in possession of a class B and A2 driving license.

The incorporation of 57 new agents at the end of this month will raise the number of troops of the Canary Police to 213, a figure that will be increased, before the end of the year, thanks to the entry of 6 subinspectors and a commissioner. The call launched now will allow the CGPC to have 295 troops in the first quarter of 2023.
