A woman of Spanish-Guinean nationality residing in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has managed to prove that she is the daughter of a Swiss businessman, after their DNA tests accidentally crossed paths in the bank where both had deposited them years apart.
The woman's lawyer, the Sevillian Fernando Osuna, explained to EFE that the woman filed a paternity lawsuit that has now been endorsed by a court, without initially having provided physical evidence of the relationship between themHowever, in 2017 the plaintiff registered with an entity to which DNA can be sent via a saliva test, in order to know people's genetic origins, with the coincidence that her then supposed father had done the same years beforeWith that evidence, he filed a lawsuit, which has served to have the Provincial Court of Las Palmas rule in his favor, revoking the decision of the court of first instance that considered that he was not right in the lawsuit
With it closes, five years later a judicial process with which the woman has tried to find her father, without success, after her mother and father met, years ago, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The woman cited in her lawsuit that her father maintained a relationship "of harmony" with her until she asked him to recognize her as his daughter, and, after looking for him on social media and through various means, she finally located him thanks to a DNA bank.
