The president and administrator of the Binter system companies, Pedro Agustín del Castillo, has submitted his resignation for personal reasons and to be able to focus on his family businesses and own businesses, as sources from the Canary Island airline have confirmed to Europa Press.
In this sense, in the coming days, the Board of Directors will meet to designate the person who will assume the position of president.
For her part, his daughter, Susana del Castillo, will replace him as a member of the Board of Directors and will represent the interests of the family together with directors Fernando del Castillo and Miguel Escudero.
The company has highlighted in a press release the growth experienced during the 18 years of Pedro Agustín del Castillo's presidency, both in size and in volume and diversification of its businesses.
The Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Binter have thanked the now former president "for the great contribution he has made in his role as president of the Binter system."
"His work," added the airline, "will continue to be linked to the company, contributing, now from outside the Governing Bodies, his vision, extensive experience and knowledge, for the continuous improvement of the business.
Susana del Castillo, new director
Susana del Castillo Bello is director of Private Equity and Alternative Investments at Casticapital, S.L., playing an active role in her family group, taking care of financial analysis and investment management in the portfolio.
In addition, she is a member of the Advisory Committee of CaixaBank shareholders and is part of the Family Good Governance Council of MdF Family Partners.
