The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported this Thursday 166 new cases of Covid-19. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 40,225, of which 5,740 are active. Regarding hospitalizations, there are 82 admitted to the ICU and 260 on the ward.
In the last 24 hours we must also regret the death of another person, an 82-year-old woman in Gran Canaria. In addition, the Ministry has added this Thursday to the statistical record the last death that took place in Lanzarote, and which La Voz had already reported on Wednesday.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 54.61 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 107.78 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds this Thursday 61 cases, with a total of 16,826 accumulated cases and 2,244 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 16,486 accumulated cases, 71 more than the previous day, and 2,995 active. Lanzarote adds ten new cases with 4,403 accumulated and 285 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 1,622 accumulated cases, with 22 more cases than the previous day, and 173 active.
La Palma adds two new cases and has 389 accumulated and 17 active cases; El Hierro does not add new cases, it maintains its accumulated at 290 and 21 active, of which 18 are migrants and 3 autochthonous cases. For its part, La Gomera, without new cases, maintains the accumulated at 209 and 2 active.
Until this Thursday, a total of 864,112 PCR tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 2,948 correspond to the previous day.
