Health has reported this Tuesday a new confirmed case in the Canary Islands

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands counts one new case of monkeypox since Friday. Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there are 173 confirmed cases, of which 100 were detected in Gran Canaria, 66 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, two in Lanzarote and one in La Palma.

All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation receiving follow-up by Primary Care.

In addition, there is a probable case, pending confirmation, reported in Gran Canaria and another suspected case, pending confirmation, reported in Lanzarote.
