Health confirms two more cases of monkeypox in the Canary Islands and rules out one of the suspects in Lanzarote

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has registered another two cases of monkeypox in the last day, in which nine more have also been added under study.

Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there are 143 confirmed cases, of which 85 were detected in Gran Canaria, 52 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, one in La Palma and one in Lanzarote.

Regarding the suspects, it has ruled out one of those that were pending analysis in Lanzarote, and is awaiting the results of the other. In total, Health currently maintains four cases under study in the Canary Islands: one probable in Tenerife and two suspects in Tenerife, to which is added the other suspect from Lanzarote.
