The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands reports two new cases of monkeypox since this Wednesday without any new cases being registered under study. In addition, it has ruled out the suspected case that was under study in Lanzarote, so the island continues without accumulating positives in the virus.
Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there are 82 confirmed cases, of which 54 were detected in Gran Canaria, 26 in Tenerife and two in Fuerteventura. All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in isolation.
In addition, the Ministry of Health maintains four cases under study, three probable in Gran Canaria, and one suspected in Tenerife.
