Health adds two new cases of monkeypox in the Canary Islands and keeps two under study in Lanzarote

The archipelago currently has 136 positives and four suspected cases

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands reports two new cases and three under study of monkeypox since this Wednesday. 

Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, there have been 136 confirmed cases, of which 83 were detected in Gran Canaria, 47 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, one in La Palma and another in Lanzarote. All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation.

Likewise, the Ministry of Health maintains two cases under study for possible diagnosis of monkeypox in Lanzarote, in addition to two others in Tenerife.
