The Canary Islands has not registered new cases of coronavirus this Tuesday and remains at 2,422 accumulated and 162 deceased, according to the data balance updated at 2:00 p.m. by the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands.

In addition, three discharges have been given and active cases drop to 78, of which 73 are in isolation at home, three are hospitalized and another two occupy beds in the Intensive Care Units (ICU), both in Tenerife.

By islands, Tenerife has 1,503 accumulated cases, followed by Gran Canaria (604), La Palma (107), Lanzarote (88), Fuerteventura (71), La Gomera (8) and El Hierro (3) while the incidence by age affects more the group of 40-49 years, with 427 cases, and mortality to octogenarians, with 76 deaths.

The Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital, in Lanzarote, and the General Hospital of La Palma have been cleared of coronavirus this Tuesday morning after discharging the last patient who remained admitted to the hospital in Conejero and testing negative for covid-19 the only patient who remained in the Internal Medicine Unit of the Palmero center.
