Canary Islands reports seven deaths from Covid and adds 1,136 new positives

Of the total number of deaths, six were recorded in Tenerife and one in Gran Canaria

The Canary Islands begins the weekend with 1,136 new cases of coronavirus. In addition, in the last hours the death of seven people has been reported, with ages between 57 and 92 years. Of the total number of deaths, six were recorded in Tenerife and one in Gran Canaria. All had previous pathologies and were in hospital.

Until this Friday, a total of 3,168,137 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 6,609 correspond to Thursday.

The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 262.28 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 616.47 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 454 cases with a total of 49,275 cases that are epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 464 more than the previous day and 46,877 active cases. Lanzarote adds 64 new cases with 1,422 epidemiologically active cases. Fuerteventura has 66 new cases and 7,172 active cases. La Palma adds 64 new positives, bringing the total to 473 active cases. El Hierro adds 19 new positives and 97 active cases, and La Gomera adds five new cases, bringing its active cases to 104.

The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 269,695, with 105,420 active cases, of which 77 are admitted to the ICU and 505 remain hospitalized.
