Canary Islands registers 94 new infections and no deaths in the last 24 hours

The Canary Islands has registered 94 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total of accumulated cases in the islands already rises to 56,202 with 1,820 active, of which 41 are admitted to the ICU and 207 remain hospitalized, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

Likewise, one more day the death of any person has not been notified, so the total number of deaths on the islands since the beginning of the pandemic remains at 766, of which 424 have been in Tenerife; 268 in Gran Canaria; 49 in Lanzarote; 13 in Fuerteventura; 6 in La Palma; 4 in El Hierro, and 1 in La Gomera.

The Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days is located in the Canary Islands in the 33.27 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is at 75.97 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 1,131,741 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 2,525 correspond to the last 24 hours.

By islands, Tenerife adds 57 new infections with a total of 24,641 accumulated cases and 1,082 epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 22,571 accumulated cases, 16 more than the previous day, and 447 active; Lanzarote adds 12 new cases with 5,488 accumulated and 222 epidemiologically active, and Fuerteventura adds 9 infections and has 2,334 accumulated cases and 56 active.

La Palma does not add new cases and remains with 563 accumulated and 12 active cases; the same occurs in El Hierro, which continues with 371 cases and 1 active, and La Gomera, which continues without registering new infections and its accumulated remains at 233, none active.
