Canary Islands registers 40 cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 16.59 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 38.51 cases

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands today reports 40 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus. The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 95,769 with 900 active, of which 25 are admitted to the ICU and 100 remain hospitalized. In the last hours there have been no deaths linked to the coronavirus in the Islands.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 16.59 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 38.51 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 26 cases with a total of 45,811 accumulated cases and 472 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 36,521 accumulated cases, 11 more than the previous day and 235 active. Lanzarote adds only one case with 6,953 accumulated and 66 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 4,504 accumulated cases, two new cases, and 119 active. La Palma does not add new cases and has 1,109 accumulated and three active cases; El Hierro does not register new positives, so its accumulated are 467 and its assets are five. For its part, La Gomera does not add cases either, so its accumulated are 403 and it remains without active cases.

To date, a total of 2,179,143 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 3,862 correspond to the previous day.
