Canary Islands registers 179 positives and one death in the last 24 hours

The Cumulative Incidence at seven days in the Canary Islands drops to 66.59 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days decreases to 162.96 cases

The Canary Islands has registered 179 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the archipelago amounts to 91,507, while the deaths rise to 927 by adding one death, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Of the total cases, 13,621 are active (-42), of which 78 are admitted to the ICU (-3), 366 remain hospitalized (-6) and 13,177 are in their homes (-33). In addition, 220 people have been discharged from hospital in the last hours, so that 76,959 Canarians have overcome the disease so far in the pandemic.

Regarding the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at seven days in the Canary Islands, it drops to 66.59 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days decreases to 162.96 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,993,718 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands --4,601 in the last 24 hours--, of which 119,168 were positive, which represents 5.98 percent.

By islands, Tenerife adds 91 positives, accumulating 44,007 cases, of which 8,192 are epidemiologically active, 525 have died (+1) and 35,290 have overcome the disease; Gran Canaria has 34,984 accumulated (+71), of which 4,988 are active, 318 have died and 29,678 have been discharged from hospital.

For its part, Lanzarote adds 10 positives, with 6,550 accumulated, of which 147 are active, while it has registered 50 deaths and 6,354 have overcome the disease; and Fuerteventura has 4,054 accumulated cases (+6), of which 247 are active, 16 have died and 3,791 have been discharged from hospital.

La Palma adds one case in the last day, so it has 1,075 accumulated, of which 33 are active, 14 have died and 1,028 have been discharged from hospital.

Finally, El Hierro has an accumulated of 444 by not reporting new infections, of which seven are active, four have died and 433 have overcome the disease; while La Gomera has an accumulated of 392 cases (without variation), of which seven are active, one has died and 384 have been discharged from hospital.
