Canary Islands registers 117 positives for monkeypox

The archipelago already has 117 positives and eight cases under study, of which two are probable and six are suspected

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands reports one new case and two under study of monkeypox since this Tuesday.

Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there are 117 confirmed cases, of which 77 were detected in Gran Canaria, 37 in Tenerife and three in Fuerteventura. All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation.

Regarding the cases under study, Health maintains eight, two probable and six suspected, all of them detected in Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura.
