Canary Islands counts three new cases of monkeypox since Friday

The archipelago has already added 90 positives since the beginning of the alert

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has notified three new cases of monkeypox and two under study since Friday.

This means a total of 90 confirmed cases since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, of which 61 were detected in Gran Canaria, 27 in Tenerife and two in Fuerteventura. In addition, there are currently three probable cases pending confirmation, two reported in Gran Canaria and one in Tenerife, and one suspected case in Tenerife.

The Ministry of Health specifies that all active cases "are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation, receiving follow-up from Primary Care".
