Canary Islands confirms two new cases of monkeypox since Monday

The archipelago has recorded a total of 92 positive cases and three under study since the beginning of the alert, of which one is probable and two are suspected

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has notified two cases of monkeypox since last Monday, although it has not registered any new cases under study.

Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, there have been 92 confirmed cases, of which 62 were detected in Gran Canaria, 28 in Tenerife and two in Fuerteventura. In addition, there is one probable case, pending confirmation, in Gran Canaria and two suspected cases in Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

All active cases are experiencing mild symptoms and remain in home isolation, receiving follow-up from Primary Care.
