Canary Islands closes Sunday without new deaths, adding only one positive and registering five discharges

In the islands, 1,762 people have already overcome the disease

The Canary archipelago closed this Sunday without counting new deaths and adding only one case of coronavirus, in addition to registering five new recovered patients, according to the latest data until 8:00 p.m. provided by the Government of the Canary Islands.

In this way, the total confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Canary Islands amount to 2,322, of which 1,762 have already been discharged. Therefore, there are 403 active patients of the disease, since a total of 157 have died so far in the pandemic crisis.

63.6 percent of the total cases have been registered in Tenerife, with 1,476, compared to 575 in Gran Canaria, which is the second island with the most affected.

As of today, the active cases in the ICU amount to 12, while the active cases but hospitalized on the floor reach 31. A total of 360 cases are still with the disease but in their homes.
