The Government of the United Kingdom announced this Friday a 'green list' of 12 countries and territories to which travel will be facilitated from May 17, which includes Portugal, Gibraltar and Israel, but which leaves out Spain, France or Greece for now. The Canary Islands are excluded from this list of safe places, as is the rest of Spain.
The British Transport Minister, Grant Shapps, detailed that travelers returning to England from these destinations will not have to comply with a 10-day quarantine and will have to take a PCR test for coronavirus once they have returned, instead of two, requirements that must be met by those coming from territories classified as "amber".
