Canary Islands approaches 700 new cases of coronavirus and adds three deaths

The Cumulative Incidence at 14 days in the Archipelago stands at 286.31 cases per 100,000 inhabitants

Coronavirus cases continue to rise in the Canary Islands, which added 694 new positives this Tuesday. In addition, in the last hours three deaths have been reported in the archipelago: a 51-year-old woman in Gran Canaria and two men aged 69 and 71 in Tenerife. All suffered from previous pathologies and remained in hospital.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 163.33 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 286.31 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 382 cases, while Gran Canaria has 226 more than the previous day. Lanzarote adds 21 new positives and Fuerteventura has 49 new cases. La Palma adds 12 new positives, while La Gomera and El Hierro add one and three, respectively.

As of this Tuesday, a total of 2,500,353 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 8,279 correspond to Monday.

The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 109,703, with 7,670 active, of which 51 are admitted to the ICU and 251 remain hospitalized.
