Canary Islands has 210 healthcare professionals infected out of the 1025 cases that are already registered in the islands, according to the Ministry of Health. In addition, a total of 377 people have required hospitalization and 68 have done so in the ICU.

Until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, as reflected in the report sent to the Ministry of Health, the Government of the Canary Islands had confirmed an accumulated 1025 positive cases of Covid-19 (from which 25 discharges and 36 deaths must be deducted). By islands, the most affected is Tenerife with 671 accumulated cases, followed by Gran Canaria with 253; and La Palma with 43. As for Lanzarote, until Friday night there were 35 accumulated cases, in Fuerteventura, 25. La Gomera accumulates six cases and El Hierro three. La Graciosa continues without cases.

Deaths by age groups


Regarding deaths, the most affected group has been the elderly between 80 and 89 years old with 16 deaths, eight women and eight men. Of those over 90 years of age, 3 people have died, one woman and two men in the Canary Islands with coronavirus, while between 70 and 79 years of age, nine have died, eight men and one woman.

As for the age group of 60 to 69 years, 3 people have died, two women and one man, as well as two men between 50 to 59 years, one man between 40 to 49 years and two women between 30 to 39 years.
