Canary Islands adds two new cases of monkeypox

The archipelago has already reached 80 positives since the beginning of the health alert

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands communicates two new cases and one under study for possible diagnosis of monkeypox since this Tuesday.

Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there are 80 confirmed cases, of which 52 were detected in Gran Canaria, 26 in Tenerife and two in Fuerteventura. All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation.

In addition, the Ministry maintains five cases under study, four probable in Gran Canaria, and one suspected in Lanzarote.
