Canary Islands adds two new cases of monkeypox

The archipelago already has 40 confirmed cases since the beginning of the health alert

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands registers two new confirmed cases of monkeypox since this Thursday.

This means that there are a total of 40 confirmed cases since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, of which 28 were detected in Gran Canaria and 12 in Tenerife. All cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation.

This Friday the cases under study are reduced to seven, five probable and two suspected, all of them in Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Fuerteventura.
