Canary Islands adds two new cases of monkeypox

The archipelago already has 28 positives and seven cases under study, of which five are probable and two are suspected

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands notifies this Monday two new confirmed cases of monkeypox and two more under study, of which one is probable and the other suspected.

This means that since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there are already 28 confirmed cases, 22 in Gran Canaria and six in Tenerife.

From Health they assure that all are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation, receiving follow-up from Primary Care.

As for the cases that are still under study, there are currently seven (five probable and two suspected), one of them from Lanzarote.
