Canary Islands adds two new cases of monkeypox and keeps one under study in Lanzarote

The archipelago registers 71 positives and six under study, of which four cases are probable and two are suspected

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands counts two new cases and three under study for possible diagnosis of monkeypox since Friday.

Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there are 71 confirmed cases, of which 45 were detected in Gran Canaria, 25 in Tenerife and one in Fuerteventura. All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation.

In addition, the Ministry of Health maintains a case under study in Lanzarote, and in total counts six in the archipelago: four probable, in Gran Canara and Fuerteventura, and two suspected, the one in Lanzarote and another in Gran Canaria.
