Canary Islands adds two deaths and 1,945 new positive cases of Covid

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands confirms 1,945 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 303,877 with 14,150 active, of which 33 are admitted to the ICU and 284 remain hospitalized. In the last hours, two deaths have been reported in Tenerife, a 77-year-old man and a 91-year-old woman. Both were in hospital and had previous pathologies.

By islands, Tenerife adds 964 cases with a total of 139,124 accumulated cases and 6,558 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 114,945 accumulated cases, 596 more than the previous day and 5,768 active. Lanzarote adds 180 new cases with 20,736 accumulated and 731 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 14,932 accumulated cases, with 62 new cases and 281 active. La Palma adds 99 new positives, so it has 10,315 accumulated and 572 active. La Gomera has 19 new positives, so its accumulated are 1,950 and has 177 active cases, and El Hierro adds 25 new cases, so it has 1,874 accumulated and its assets are 63.

To date, a total of 3,307,050 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 7,485 correspond to the previous day.
