Canary Islands adds three new positive cases of monkeypox

Health has reduced to one suspected case under study in Lanzarote

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands counts three new cases and three under study of monkeypox since this Thursday.

Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, there have been 137 confirmed cases, of which 83 were detected in Gran Canaria, 48 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, one in La Palma and another in Lanzarote. All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation.

In addition, Health maintains four suspected cases, pending confirmation, two notified in Tenerife, one in Gran Canaria and one in Lanzarote, one less than in the previous day.
