Canary Islands adds a new positive case of monkeypox and already has 41

The cases under study are reduced to two, one suspected and the other probable, both in Gran Canaria

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands counts one new case and two under study, one probable and one suspected, for possible diagnosis of monkeypox since Friday.

This means that there are a total of 41 confirmed cases since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, of which 29 were detected in Gran Canaria and 12 in Tenerife. All cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation.

The total cases under study are reduced to two, which are those reported this Monday, one of them being suspected and the other probable. Both in Gran Canaria.
