Canary Islands adds 304 positive cases in the last day and one death in Tenerife

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands is 82.08 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days it is 141.27 cases

The Canary Islands has registered 304 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total number of accumulated cases in the islands now rises to 61,990 and has to regret a death on the island of Tenerife, leaving the total number of deaths at 789, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

Thus, of the total number of accumulated cases in the islands, 3,913 are active (+192), of which 28 are admitted to the ICU (-2), 192 remain hospitalized (+3) and 3,693 are in their homes (+188). In addition, so far 57,288 people have overcome the disease in the archipelago after 111 Canarians were discharged.

Regarding the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands continues to rise, in this case to 82.08 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is 141.27 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. So far, 1,221,600 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands --3,256 in the last day--, of which 63,721 were positive, representing 5.21 percent.

By islands, Tenerife adds 213 new infections and accumulates 28,673 accumulated cases, of which 2,969 are epidemiologically active, 439 (+1) died and 25,265 were discharged; while Gran Canaria has 23,648 accumulated cases (+54), of which 628 are active, 276 died and 22,744 overcame the disease.

Lanzarote, meanwhile, accumulates 5,771 cases (+13), of which 70 are epidemiologically active, 49 died and 5,652 were discharged; and Fuerteventura adds 22 infections and accumulates 2,682 cases, of which 224 are active, 13 died and 2,445 overcame the disease.

La Palma places its accumulated number at 580 cases (no variation), with seven active, seven deceased and 566 people who have recovered from the virus; El Hierro accumulates 384 (+2), with 12 active cases, four deaths and 368 people were discharged.

Finally, La Gomera remains at 251 infections, of which three cases are active, while in its balance it registers one death and 247 people who have overcome the disease.
