The Canary Islands has provisionally added 226 new cases of COVID-19 this Sunday, bringing the total accumulated to 100,724 cases, and has registered one death in Tenerife during the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health, there are currently 2,504 active cases, of which 22 are admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 161 remain hospitalized on the ward.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 73.26 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 126.38 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife has added 85 cases with a total of 47,945 accumulated cases and 1,119 epidemiologically active cases; and Gran Canaria has 38,416 accumulated cases, 102 more than the previous day and 975 active cases.
Lanzarote has had 19 new cases with 7,377 accumulated and 139 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 4,883 accumulated cases, with 13 new cases, and 223 active.
Likewise, La Palma adds seven new positives, bringing the total to 1,186 accumulated and 32 active. El Hierro does not add new positives, so its accumulated are 469 and its assets are two. La Gomera, without new cases, remains with 447 accumulated and 14 active.
Finally, as of this Sunday, 2,348,018 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 4,370 correspond to the previous day.
