Canary Islands adds 167 positives in the last 24 hours, 131 of them in Tenerife, in a day without deaths

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days rises to 46.92 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while at 14 days it stands at 88.38.

The Canary Islands has added this Saturday 167 new positives for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, which raises the total number of infected in the islands to 58,879 since the pandemic began, while the deaths remain at 781 deaths as no deaths have been recorded in the last day, according to the data balance updated by the Ministry of Health.

Thus, of the total cases, 1,967 are active (+100), 23 of them remain in the ICU (-2), 182 remain hospitalized (+7) and 1,667 are in their homes (+95). So far 56,131 Canarians have been discharged from hospital, 67 in the last day.

Regarding the Cumulative Incidence (IA) in the Canary Islands, at 7 days it rises to 46.92 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while at 14 days it stands at 88.38.

In addition, to date a total of 1,183,472 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands --2,562 in the last day--, of which 61,401 are positive, representing 5.19 percent.

As for the cases by islands, Tenerife adds 131 new cases and its accumulated rises to 26,391, of which 1,398 are active, 433 have died and 24,560 have been discharged from hospital. It is followed by Gran Canaria, which adds 19 new positives and accumulates 23,142, of which 378 remain active, 274 died and 22,490 overcame the disease.

Lanzarote, on the other hand, adds eight new cases and reaches 5,685 accumulated, of which 80 are active, 49 died and 5,556 overcame the disease; while Fuerteventura adds seven cases and accumulates 2,469, of which 97 are active, 13 died and 2,359 were discharged from hospital.

La Palma adds one case, up to an accumulated of 574, three of them active, and in its count it registers seven deaths and 564 people cured, while El Hierro remains at 372 cases and only one active, in addition to counting four deaths and 367 people who have been discharged from hospital; and La Gomera accumulates 245 cases (+1), with ten active, one death and 234 Canarians who overcame the disease.
