Canary Islands adds 151 new positive cases of covid and one death in the last day

Up to this moment, a total of 911,966 PCR tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 2,876 correspond to this Saturday

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands confirms 151 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus. The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 43,343 with 4,361 active, of which 74 are admitted to the ICU and 311 remain hospitalized. In the last hours, the death of a 98-year-old woman in Gran Canaria has been reported, associated with a family/social outbreak and who suffered from previous pathologies.

The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 62.88 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 118.51 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 69 cases with a total of 18,221 accumulated cases and 2,255 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 17,817 accumulated cases, 73 more than the previous day and 1,885 active. Lanzarote adds a new case with 4,520 accumulated and 81 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 1,824 accumulated cases with seven more cases than the previous day and 295 active. La Palma adds a new case and stands at 442 accumulated and 29 active cases; El Hierro does not register any case, maintaining its accumulated at 298 and its active at seven. For its part, in La Gomera there are also no new cases, so its accumulated are 221 and its active are five.
